FUNCTION: Involved in intra-Golgi traffic. Modulates intra-Golgi transport through coupling between NSF activity and SNAREs activation. It first stimulates the ATPase activity of NSF which in turn stimulates the association with GOSR1 (By similarity).
SUBUNIT: Monomer. Interacts with GABRG2, ULK1, NSF, GOSR1 and beta-tubulin (By similarity). Interacts with TP53INP1 and TP53INP2 (By similarity). Interacts with TBC1D25.
SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Golgi apparatus (By similarity). Cytoplasmic vesicle, autophagosome (By similarity).
TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Ubiquitous. A high level expression is seen in brain, thymus, lung, heart, liver and kidney.
