Evidence: An ELISA assay was used to quantitatively evaluate eotaxin protein expression. This analysis demonstrated marked induction of eotaxin protein expression by aortic smooth muscle cells after treatment with TNF-a, whereas untreated control cells did not show eotaxin protein expression (P,0.001) (Figure 1).
